Blocher, David
Gettysburg, PA The Gettysburg Battle Library, Distributed By N. A. Meligakes Stapled wraps Near Fine
Printed by Curt Teich Co. , Chicago, IL, noted for his postcards. Early photographs of the monuments in and around the Gettysburg, PA, Civil War battlefield. This book has no date in it but the Curt Teich Company closed in 1978. Although there was a letter/number code for the Teich postcards, this book has a code of D 1081 in bottom fore corner of rear cover, which does not seem to relate to the number sequences he usually used. Each page is a photo, with text beneath. The illustrations in this book were made expressly for this book from photographs taken by special artists and represent the most interesting views at this historic shrine. Cover shows High Water Mark Monument. Stapled taupe-colored linen paper wraps have only a hint of age wear. ; Oblong 8vo 8" to 9" tall; Unpaginated pages; 27090
