Step by step the author and compiler of this little book has measured the days of the year. Not a page has been written without a thought of the possible reader, and an earnest desire to meet the daily needs of daily life. Such subjects have been touched upon as are especially dear to the American people. Prose and poetry for every day of the year. Colored plates have tissues but time has stuck some of those tissues to the plates (April, May, June, August, November. The first plate has several closed tears around the edges, about a half inch long. Ditto the plate for December except one of its tears is almost all the way across and has a chip in the lower corner. The plate for May (and it's tissue) are loose but present. July's tissue is not stuck to it and appears undamaged*. October's tissue is not stuck, but there is a "broken" bend in the lower front corner which is dangerously close to falling out. *All are tanned around the edges. Top of spine is biopredated. Some foxing and light soil to boards. Tan cloth boards with gilt lettering. ; 16mo 6" - 7" tall; 372 pages; 30778
