Page 88 is an ad for Taylor Meat Company. Whether you wanted to order some meat or pick up an order, you had to drive over there because no phone number is in the ad...and you had to know where they were located because neither is the address. And they are still there as of 2017! In fact, there are only 4 or 5 still in business. The ads that did have phone numbers, those numbers were either 2, 3 or 4 digits, depending on how long the business had existed. The original price of this Birthday Book was 50 cents. Another ad was for Taylor's radio station, call letters KTAE. Their sign is still on the building but the radio station no longer is on the air. And the famous Louie Mueller's Barbecue started out as a grocery and that ad is also included. The ads appear on the verso of the birthdays for each day of every month. No phone numbers or addresses for the population -- only their day and their name. Three heavy duty staples bind this book. Cover is faux leather card stock. No writing. ; 16mo 6" - 7" tall; 131 pages; 31372
